Testosterone gel is a colorless gel containing 1% of testosterone, the male hormone. It is prescribed for people who have been diagnosed with hypogonadism and who need alternative therapies. To confirm the diagnosis, three clinical symptoms are required:

• Lack of body hair
• Underdevelopment of the genitals
• Insufficient testosterone levels in the blood

Method of action

Testoheal gel has testosterone as its active component. When you apply the gel to your skin, testosterone enters your system and does what it needs to:

· Development of the male genitalia.

· Development of sexual secondary characteristics (libido, fat distribution, hair growth).

Testosterone is also involved in protein synthesis and the regulation of nitrogen, salt, chlorine, phosphate, and water levels in the urine.

Dosages and methods of use

The drug is sold in sachets that contain 5 grams of gel and 50 milligrams of testosterone. The daily dose of this hormone is exactly this. Consequently, you will only use one sachet per day. Reduced doses of the drug should be used on patients with impaired kidney or liver function. Blood checks are used to measure testosterone levels once treatment is started. The daily dose can be increased to 100mg (2 sachets) if needed.

Attention! The gel should be applied to the skin in a thin layer rather than massaged to make it absorb.

Patients should apply the gel themselves on clean, dry and healthy skin. The drug should not be used on the vaginal area as it could irritate the skin. It works well on the shoulders, arms and abdomen. After using the gel, wait 3-5 minutes for it to absorb before getting dressed.

It is suggested to take the drug at the same time every day.

After opening the sachet, apply the testosterone gel immediately. You must use the entire contents of the sachet.

There is a risk that, in close contact with another person, the gel applied to the skin may partly end up on the other person's skin. This should be avoided.

· Dress immediately after the gel has dried and do not remove clothing for at least 6 hours

Avoid close contact with other people (such as having sexual intercourse) for at least 6 hours before taking a shower

If a little gel gets on another person's skin, they will have to wash it off immediately with soap and water.

It is especially important to avoid getting the gel on the skin of a pregnant or nursing woman, as this could harm the fetus or baby.
